GrainHenge Whisky is the whisky division of Troubled Monk Brewery & Distillery in Red Deer, Alberta. Launched to celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of the Canadian Prairies, GrainHenge focuses on grain-forward whiskies that showcase locally sourced Alberta ingredients and careful maturation in new oak. Each annual Arrowwood release represents an evolution of the distillery's rye whisky program, with adjustments to maturation and blending that highlight increasing complexity while maintaining the bold prairie character that has become the brand's signature.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of spice, brown sugar, vanilla, toasted oak, and gentle caramel mingle with subtle herbal rye notes and warm baking spices.

Palate: Rich vanilla and light caramel open into layers of chocolate, biscuit, honey, roasted coffee, orange citrus, and baking spice, supported by a full-bodied rye character and balanced oak.

Finish: Long and warming with burnt sugar, vanilla, toasted oak, lingering rye spice, and hints of roasted coffee and dark chocolate.
