Hakushu 12 Year Old

The Hakushu Distillery, established by Suntory in 1973, sits deep within the forests of Mount Kaikomagatake in Yamanashi Prefecture, where exceptionally pure mountain water and a cool alpine climate contribute to its distinctive character. Often referred to as the "forest distillery," Hakushu produces a range of lightly peated and unpeated single malts celebrated for their fresh, herbaceous style. The 12 Year Old has earned widespread international acclaim, including Gold Medals at the International Spirits Challenge in both 2025 and 2026, along with a Gold Medal at the 2026 World Whiskies Awards, reinforcing its reputation as one of Japan's benchmark single malts.
