J Moreau 2023/24 Chablis

Founded in 1814, J. Moreau & Fils is one of Chablis’ historic houses, specializing exclusively in Chardonnay. Chablis sits in Burgundy’s northern Yonne department, where vineyards are planted over Jurassic-era Kimmeridgian limestone and marl, soils containing fossilized marine material that are closely associated with the region’s fresh, mineral-driven style.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Pale gold with green highlights.

Nose: White pear, citrus and acacia with fresh almond, subtle butter and gentle spice.

Palate: Fresh and finely textured, with white orchard fruit and citrus supported by lively acidity and classic Chablis minerality.

Finish: Long, clean and distinctly saline, with lingering citrus and mineral notes.
