Jean-Luc Colombo ‘Les Abeilles’ Côtes-du-Rhône Rouge

Jean-Luc and Anne Colombo established their winemaking base in Cornas in the Northern Rhône in the early 1980s, later joined by their daughter Laure. The family produces wines throughout the Rhône, with an emphasis on regional character and environmentally conscious vineyard practices.

Les Abeilles 2022 is a classic Southern Rhône blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright garnet-red with purple highlights.

Nose: Boysenberry, red berries and violet with coriander, bay leaf and wild herbs.

Palate: Medium-bodied and silky, with juicy red and dark fruit, liquorice and spice supported by smooth tannins and fresh acidity.

Finish: Persistent and savoury, with lingering fruit, graphite, herbs and spice.
