Kilchoman Rockside 11 Year Old 100% Islay

Produced by Kilchoman, Rockside 11 Year Old is the distillery's first age-stated expression to join its permanent core range, introduced in June 2026.
Matured for 11 years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, Rockside brings together two complementary influences:
- Ex-bourbon barrels: Contribute vanilla, honey, tropical fruit and bright citrus.
- Oloroso sherry casks: Introduce dried fruit, gentle nuttiness and warming spice.
The whisky uses barley peated to approximately 20 PPM, significantly lighter than the 50 PPM malt used for Kilchoman's Machir Bay and Sanaig expressions. This restrained peat level allows the barley's natural sweetness and delicate fruit character to take centre stage.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh pineapple, tropical fruit and sweet citrus mingle with honeyed malt, soft vanilla and delicate peat smoke.
Palate: Bright orchard fruit and grilled pineapple develop into creamy malt, gentle sherry sweetness and warming mixed spices.
Finish: Fresh and lingering,with soft coastal smoke, citrus zest, subtle oak and a touch of sweet spice.
