Liano Prosecco

Podere La Vigna is a boutique, family-run winery situated just southeast of the town of Montalcino. Owned by the Pieri family, the estate has been producing wines for generations, with a philosophy rooted in traditional Brunello production and meticulous vineyard stewardship. The vineyards benefit from the warm, well-ventilated slopes of southern Montalcino, where galestro-rich soils and significant diurnal temperature swings allow Sangiovese Grosso to ripen slowly while preserving freshness and aromatic complexity.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep garnet ruby with brilliant clarity.

Nose: Complex aromas of ripe cherry, wild raspberry, dried rose, violet, Mediterranean herbs, tobacco, leather, and sweet baking spice.

Palate: Full-bodied yet graceful, offering flavours of red cherry, plum, blood orange, licorice, and savoury herbs supported by vibrant acidity and finely woven tannins. Subtle earthy and mineral notes add depth and complexity.

Finish: Long, elegant, and persistent, with lingering red fruit, spice, dried flowers, and classic Brunello minerality.
