Lindores Thiron Lowland Single Malt

History: In 1191, Tironensian monks from the French Order of Tiron arrived at Lindores to establish a monastery. These industrious men preferred a practical lifestyle in a cloistered setting, and were skilled in various trades, including masonry, distilling, brewing, carpentry, blacksmithing, sculpture, painting, gardening, beekeeping, farming, and animal husbandry. Upon their arrival, the land surrounding the Abbey had to be tamed and properly cultivated, resulting in the growth of vast orchards that showcased the monks’ expertise.

Tasting Notes: ‘Thiron’ is imbued with beautiful aromas of mellow vanilla cake, caramel syrup, baking spices and fruity plum jam. Discover flavours of oaky vanilla and butterscotch, undertones of more plum jam playing with cinnamon & ginger, and layers of roasted chestnuts. A finely balanced and complex whisky, with a delightful finish and the smooth, silky texture that is synonymous with the character of Lindores spirit.
