Little Book Chapter 10 Cask Strength

Little Book Chapter 10, “All the Wiser,” is crafted by eighth-generation Master Distiller Freddie Noe at the James B. Beam Distilling Co. in Kentucky. Launched in 2017, Little Book serves as Noe’s annual experimental blending project and was inspired by the approach of his grandfather, legendary Master Distiller Booker Noe. For this milestone tenth chapter, Freddie revisited ideas explored throughout the series, particularly Chapter 3, while taking a more intuitive approach to blending rather than focusing strictly on predetermined percentages.

The 2026 blend draws entirely from the Beam family of bourbons, combining 14-year-old Basil Hayden, 11-year-old Knob Creek, 10-year-old Booker’s, 9-year-old Knob Creek, 9-year-old Baker’s, and 4-year-old Jim Beam Bourbon finished in sherry and toasted bourbon casks. The result is bottled uncut and unfiltered at 122.6 proof, or 61.3% ABV, preserving the concentrated texture and intensity that have defined the Little Book series.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich aromas of fig, raisin, molasses, caramel, toasted oak, dark fruit, vanilla, and roasted nuts build alongside classic Beam baking spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and creamy with layers of caramel, cinnamon, seasoned oak, coffee, molasses, plum, blackberry, vanilla, and warming spice, with the sherry-finished component bringing additional dark fruit richness.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering oak, raisin, walnut, baking spice, cinnamon, and a gently drying sweetness.
