Lochlea 7 Year Old

Lochlea Distillery is a family-owned independent distillery located in Ayrshire, Scotland, on the historic farmland once worked by poet Robert Burns. Founded in 2018, the distillery operates as a true single-estate producer, growing its own barley on-site before distilling, maturing, and bottling entirely at the farm. Lochlea has quickly earned a strong reputation among whisky enthusiasts for its modern Lowland style that balances creamy texture with bright fruit character.
The 7 Year Old marks the distillery’s oldest official release to date and was created from seven hand-selected first-fill bourbon casks filled in 2018 and matured in traditional dunnage warehouses.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Creamy aromas of vanilla custard, stewed apples, ripe pear, buttery pastry, and soft oak mingle with hints of tropical fruit and cereal sweetness.

Palate: Rich and silky with layers of pineapple, orchard fruit, fresh oak, shortbread, vanilla cream, and warming baking spice supported by a full, dessert-like texture.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering pastry notes, malted cereal, tart green apple, gentle spice, and soft bourbon oak sweetness.
