Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 3 continues the distillery’s seasonal small-batch approach, offering an unfiltered look at their spirit in its most expressive form. Made using Lochlea’s own Ayrshire-grown barley, this release is drawn from a carefully selected combination of casks designed to amplify depth while preserving the distillery’s signature freshness.

Nose:
Ripe pear, apple skin, and lemon zest lead, followed by honeyed malt, vanilla pod, and a gentle lift of baking spice. A subtle cereal note anchors the aroma.

Palate:
Powerful and textured. Bright orchard fruit, barley sugar, and creamy toffee give way to ginger spice, cracked pepper, and warming oak. The higher strength delivers richness without sacrificing balance.

Finish:
Long, warming, and satisfying with lingering fruit sweetness, spice, and a clean, malty close.
