Lochlea Ploughing 2nd Crop

Lochlea is an independent farm distillery in Ayrshire, Scotland, uniquely growing its own barley and overseeing every stage of production on-site. This field-to-cask approach allows for complete traceability and a strong sense of terroir. Their seasonal “crop” releases highlight different cask combinations throughout the farming calendar, with the Ploughing Edition (Second Crop) focusing on richer, more autumnal flavours. Lochlea has quickly gained recognition for its transparency, sustainability, and distinctive house style.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Baked apple and pear lead, followed by vanilla, cereal sweetness, and a touch of cinnamon and oak.

Palate: Creamy and well-rounded, with notes of orchard fruit, toffee, and malt balanced by gentle spice and light oak.

Finish: Medium in length, with lingering sweetness, soft spice, and a clean, slightly drying finish.
