Macbeth Act II - Benrinnes 12 Year Old "Soldier"

On the nose you’ll find deep red-currant fruit, dried oregano and toasted walnuts, layered over a meaty, weighty base and hints of leather and earth.
The palate delivers rich gamey notes, stewed forest fruit and cured meats, with oak spice and dark chocolate emerging through the second act of the dram. The finish lingers with intense fruit, herbal dryness and a gentle roasted-nut warmth. This whisky is best enjoyed neat in a tulip or Glencairn glass so the full character can unfold. If the intensity is high, a splash of water will soften the edges and bring forward subtle fruit and spice layers.
