Machrie Moor Cask Strength

Machrie Moor represents Arran’s peated side: named after the misty peat bog on the island’s west coast, steeped in folklore and dramatic landscape. The Cask Strength edition bottles the spirit at its most natural and expressive, allowing the interplay of peat smoke, fresh fruit, and lively malt to shine with heightened intensity.

Nose:
Punchy and aromatic with lemon zest, charred oak, smouldering peat, and sweet vanilla cream. Light herbal notes and a hint of green apple add freshness beneath the smoke.

Palate:
Full-bodied and energetic. Waves of campfire smoke, grilled citrus, and honeyed malt lead the way, backed by peppery spice and a clean mineral edge. The higher strength brings extra definition and vibrancy.

Finish:
Long, warm, and smoky with lingering citrus oils, dry peat, and a touch of sweet barley.
