Produced by Morris Whisky Distillery in Rutherglen, Victoria, Morris Single Malt Tokay Barrel (now officially referred to as Topaque Barrel) reflects the distillery's unique connection to one of Australia's most celebrated fortified wine regions. Established in 1859, Morris Wines has spent generations producing world-renowned Muscat and Topaque fortified wines, and today those same seasoned barrels are used to mature the distillery's single malt whisky. Distilled from 100% Australian malted barley in traditional copper pot stills, the whisky is initially matured in a combination of American and French oak before being finished in casks that previously held Morris' award-winning Topaque. This secondary maturation imparts luxurious notes of dried fruit, honey, caramel, and citrus while preserving the whisky's elegant malt character. Bottled at natural colour and without chill filtration, it showcases the exceptional synergy between Australian whisky and fortified wine casks.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Aromas of honeycomb, dried apricot, orange marmalade, butterscotch, vanilla, toasted almonds, baking spices, and delicate oak unfold with exceptional richness.

Palate: Velvety and full-bodied with layers of golden syrup, toffee, candied citrus, dried peaches, raisins, crème brûlée, roasted nuts, cinnamon, and creamy malt balanced by gentle oak spice.

Finish: Long, warming, and elegant with lingering notes of honey, dried fruit, caramel, sweet oak, baking spice, and subtle citrus zest.
