This whisky originates at Mortlach Distillery in Dufftown, a historic Speyside producer often nicknamed the Beast of Dufftown for its robust, meaty style and distinctive flavour profile, shaped in part by its complex distillation regime and choice of casks.

Tasting Notes:
Nose: Layers of stewed plums and raisins, roasted nuts, dark treacle and subtle leather with hints of spice and rich malt.

Palate: Full-bodied and chewy, with fig preserve, molasses, black pepper and dried fruit sweetness, supported by deeper malt complexity and gentle smoky undertones.

Finish: Long and warming, finishing with lingering clove spice, gentle oak tannin and soft dried fruit echoing.
