The Isle of Mull is home to just one small, charming whisky distillery, that overlooks the picturesque fishing harbour – Tobermory. In stark contrast to its beautiful and serene setting, this distillery produces a vibrantly rambunctious, heavily peated single malt – pronounced ‘Letch-ick’, meaning ‘safe haven’. “For its final 2 years, we matured this highly prized, Hebridean spirit in highly prized Tawny Port casks from Caves de Murça , our wood partners in Portugal’s Douro Valley.
