OO Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Private Select 10 Year Old (Craft Cellars)

An incredibly exciting new store pick; a 10 year old single barrel that has been bottled at a barrel proof of 63.2% abv. To our knowledge, this is the first time an Elijah Craig store pick has come into Alberta at cask strength. Nose: Starts off with the Heaven Hill nuttiness wed expect from EC Barrel Proofs. Charred oak, cocao, vanilla and cinnamon. Incredibly inviting. Palate: Creme brulée, bubblegum, dried apricot, cinnamon, and berries. EC BPs can often be real hot and heavy but this one is surprisingly smooth for the proof. Finish: Long, drying wood, leather, and orange zest.
