The Evans Family Reserve collection explores distinctive cask finishes, with this expression highlighting a collaboration between two British Columbia producers.
The whisky is finished in barrels previously used to mature Coruja, a port-style fortified wine from Burrowing Owl Estate Winery.
The idea originated during a 2024 visit to Burrowing Owl, when the Shelter Point team tasted Coruja and recognized its potential as a whisky finishing cask. Coruja itself is matured using a solera system, making these barrels a particularly interesting alternative to traditional European Port pipes.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Rich dark berries, tropical fruit and clove, with a subtle suggestion of mulled wine.
Palate: Orange, almond and creamy butterscotch, supported by warming baking spices.
Finish: Long and layered, with strawberry, black pepper, dark chocolate fudge and a delicate savoury touch of sage and oregano.
