Signatory Ardmore 14 Year Old 100 Proof #62

Signatory Vintage Ardmore 14 Year Old 2011 100 Proof Edition #62 was distilled at Ardmore in 2011 and bottled in 2025. It matured for 14 years in second-fill Oloroso sherry butts before being bottled at 57.1% ABV, equivalent to the traditional British 100 proof. It is presented without chill filtration or added colouring.

Ardmore Distillery is a Highland distillery particularly notable for maintaining a traditionally peated house style. This gives the whisky a character quite different from many neighbouring Highland malts, with earthy, ashy smoke accompanying a naturally fruity and malty spirit.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Citrus, vanilla, and honey lead into dried fruit and dark chocolate, with gentle spice and Ardmore's earthy peat smoke developing underneath.

Palate: Sweet stone fruit and orange are wrapped in a dense, oily texture, joined by dried fruit, barley sweetness, and warming spice. Ashy peat and a slightly coastal, mineral character provide a smoky counterpoint to the sweeter Oloroso influence.

Finish: Long and warming with lingering fruit and spice followed by mild, ashy peat smoke and a gently drying sherry character.
