Tenuta Guado al Tasso belongs to the historic Antinori family and sits within the prestigious Bolgheri DOC on Tuscany’s Upper Maremma coast. The estate encompasses roughly 1,000 hectares, with about 320 planted to vines, on a broad plain surrounded by hills known as the Bolgheri Amphitheater. Its proximity to the Tyrrhenian Sea provides cooling breezes that moderate summer temperatures and help the grapes retain freshness as they ripen.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Intense ruby red with a deep, youthful core.

Nose: Ripe red berries and plum lead the aromatics, followed by delicate spice. With air, darker plum, earthy notes, baking spice, and subtle balsamic nuances emerge, reflecting both the ripe 2023 vintage and barrel maturation.

Palate: Full-bodied and generous, with ripe plum and red fruit supported by soft, concentrated tannins. There is plenty of richness, but the wine retains an appealing sense of refinement and balance. Cinnamon, nutmeg, earth, and subtle barrel sweetness add complexity behind the fruit.

Finish: Persistent and polished, with lingering ripe fruit, spice, and supple tannins. Antinori emphasizes the wine’s combination of power, grace, and drinkability, which nicely captures the character of the 2023.
