Tenuta Iuzzolini Grappa Giovanna

Produced by Tenuta Iuzzolini in Cirò Marina, Calabria, this grappa uses pomace from the estate’s Donna Giovanna IGT Calabria Bianco. The Greco Bianco is grown at 200–300 metres elevation in Timpa Bianca, on white clay soils under a warm Mediterranean climate.

Fresh pomace is distilled in a traditional copper pot still using bain-marie heating, then matured for 24 months in French oak barriques followed by two months in bottle. The extended oak ageing gives this bottling considerably more richness and depth than a traditional unaged grappa.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Elegant amber with golden highlights.
Nose: Intense and aromatic, with floral notes, dried fruit and gentle oak.
Palate: Soft, rounded and harmonious, with ripe fruit, subtle sweetness and warm barrel spice.
Finish: Smooth and balanced, with lingering dried fruit, vanilla and oak.

Best enjoyed at room temperature. Excellent as an after-dinner digestif, either on its own or alongside dark chocolate, almond biscotti, dried fruit or aged cheeses.
