Each expression of The Macallans single malt whisky reveals the unrivalled commitment to the mastery of wood and spirit for which The Macallan has been known since it was established in 1824. It is an expression of our enduring desire to go beyond the ordinary, to seek out the extraordinary, and create peerless single malts. The eighth release in The Macallans annual Classic Cut series demonstrates our ongoing quest to seek out the extraordinary. This exceptional single malt has been matured in a combination of sherry seasoned European and American oak, and ex-bourbon casks.​ On the nose are notes of rich vanilla, citrus peel and sweet oak, before baked custard, sweet green apple and vanilla are unveiled on the palate. When water is added and the strength is reduced to 40%, tropical fruit and lemon flavours step forward. ​
