2022 Post & Beam Cab Sauv

Post & Beam was created by the Far Niente family with the goal of producing wines that honor the classic foundations of Napa Valley winemaking. The name references the traditional “post and beam” architecture of old Napa barns, reflecting the winery’s philosophy of craftsmanship, simplicity, and authenticity.

The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from carefully selected Napa Valley vineyards, where warm days and cool nighttime temperatures allow grapes to develop concentrated flavours while preserving acidity and balance. The 2022 growing season produced fruit with strong varietal character, ripe tannin development, and vibrant freshness.

Winemaking focuses on highlighting Cabernet Sauvignon’s natural structure and purity. Fermentation is carried out under controlled conditions to preserve fruit expression, followed by aging in oak barrels to add texture and subtle layers of cedar, cocoa, and spice. The oak influence is designed to complement rather than dominate the wine’s fruit profile, resulting in a polished and food-friendly style.
