Albert Brenot Chablis

Albert Brenot is a Burgundy négociant house based in Beaune, producing wines across several appellations with a focus on traditional regional expression. Their Chablis is sourced from vineyards in the northern part of Burgundy, where cool climate conditions and Kimmeridgian limestone soils define the style.

Chablis is known for its unoaked or minimally oaked Chardonnay, emphasizing freshness and minerality rather than richness. The cool growing season allows for slow ripening, preserving natural acidity and aromatic precision.

Fermentation is typically carried out in stainless steel, with little to no oak influence. Some lees ageing may be used to add subtle texture while maintaining a clean, focused profile.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale straw with green reflections
Nose: Aromas of lemon, green apple, and citrus zest, with notes of flint and mineral undertones
Palate: Light- to medium-bodied, with crisp acidity and flavours of citrus, orchard fruit, and pronounced minerality
Finish: Clean and precise, with lingering citrus and a saline, mineral edge

Cellaring & Pairings
Best enjoyed within 3–5 years of vintage, though it can develop additional complexity with short-term ageing.
Pairs well with oysters, shellfish, and seafood, as well as light poultry dishes. Also complements fresh cheeses and dishes with citrus or herbal elements.
