Barrell Foundation Bourbon

Foundation brings together bourbons aged between five and nine years in new charred American oak barrels. The resulting blend has a mash bill of 73% corn, 23% rye and 4% malted barley, creating a rich, creamy bourbon with pronounced caramel sweetness, dark fruit and warming spice. Bottled at 50% ABV, it offers plenty of flavour without the intensity of Barrell's traditional cask-strength releases.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Honey, dark cherry and candied strawberry, with hints of cocoa, brown butter and warm baking spice.
Palate: Rich maple pecans, dark chocolate and creamy vanilla develop into toffee, cinnamon and subtle citrus.
Finish: Smooth and lingering, with caramel, vanilla pudding, toasted oak and gentle rye spice.
