Barrell Vantage

Produced by Barrell Craft Spirits, Vantage is a blend of straight bourbons sourced from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee, carefully selected and finished to highlight the different flavours oak can contribute to whiskey.

Founded in 2013, Barrell Craft Spirits has built its reputation on innovative blending and cask finishing. Rather than relying on a single distillery or mash bill, the company combines complementary whiskies to create distinctive flavour profiles.

Vantage's defining feature is its three-part finishing process. Selected bourbons are finished separately in three types of virgin oak before being blended together.
- Japanese Mizunara oak: Contributes aromatic incense, sandalwood and tropical fruit.
- French oak: Adds robust baking spice, herbal complexity and warming notes of cola.
- Toasted American oak: Develops creamy vanilla, caramel, coconut and chocolate.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep reddish copper.
Nose: Crème brûlée, toasted coconut and chocolate pudding, complemented by nutmeg, warm cola, sandalwood and grilled pineapple.
Palate: Rich and oily, with espresso, maple syrup and vanilla sweetness, followed by warming French oak spice and toasted wood.
Finish: Long and complex, with red plum, green grape, crystallized ginger and lingering peppery spice.
