Benjamin Bridge Brut

Winery & Winemaking Overview
Benjamin Bridge is a leading producer in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley, a region increasingly recognized for its suitability for high-quality sparkling wine. The winery focuses on expressing the unique maritime terroir, where strong tidal influences from the Bay of Fundy and a cool growing season contribute to high natural acidity and aromatic clarity.
The Brut is typically a blend of classic Champagne varieties—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier—sourced from estate vineyards. Produced using the méthode traditionnelle, the wine undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle followed by extended ageing on lees, which builds complexity while preserving freshness.
The cool climate and long ripening season allow for lower sugar accumulation and higher acidity, resulting in a style that is often compared to some of the more mineral, restrained expressions of sparkling wine globally.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale gold with a fine, persistent mousse
Nose: Aromas of green apple, citrus, and pear, with notes of brioche, toasted almond, and saline minerality

Finish: Clean and focused, with lingering citrus, mineral, and lightly toasty nuances

Ideal as an aperitif or paired with oysters, seafood, and shellfish. Also complements fried foods, soft cheeses, and dishes with delicate flavours or creamy textures.
