Bollinger PN VZ19

Founded in 1829, Champagne Bollinger is one of the region's most prestigious houses, renowned for its Pinot Noir-driven style, extensive estate vineyards, and unwavering commitment to traditional craftsmanship. The PN collection explores the many expressions of Pinot Noir across Champagne, with each release highlighting a different cru and base vintage while remaining unmistakably Bollinger.

PN VZ19 is based on the 2019 harvest and is made from 100% Pinot Noir, with Verzenay Grand Cru serving as the principal cru, supported by reserve wines from earlier vintages. Aged for more than twice the minimum time required by the Champagne appellation and finished with a moderate dosage of 6 g/L, it offers a precise, terroir-driven expression of Pinot Noir, combining depth, freshness, and remarkable elegance.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Brilliant golden yellow with delicate bronze reflections.

Nose: Expressive aromas of apple, quince, mirabelle plum, vine peach, red berries, and subtle exotic fruit, layered with hints of hazelnut, brioche, and delicate spice.

Palate: Rich yet remarkably refined, with flavours of Granny Smith apple, white peach, blood orange, citrus zest, and orchard fruit carried by a supple, silky mousse. The wine displays exceptional tension, freshness, and chalky minerality, reflecting the character of Verzenay.

Finish: Long, precise, and saline, with lingering citrus, stone fruit, toasted brioche, and mineral complexity.
