Bowmore 30 2023 (Preorder)

Bowmore 30 Year Old 2023 is a limited annual release from Bowmore Distillery, established in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal and recognized as Islay’s oldest licensed distillery. Bowmore is known for a distinctive house style that combines expressive fruit with maritime character and measured peat smoke, allowing its whiskies to retain elegance even after decades of maturation.

For the 2023 edition, whiskies matured for a full 30 years in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak sherry butts and hogsheads were brought together to create the final expression. The long maturation develops concentrated tropical fruit and dark sweetness while Bowmore's characteristic peat remains integrated rather than dominant.

Nose: Ripe papaya, caramelized mango, and rich molasses create a concentrated tropical aroma with underlying mature oak.

Palate: An abundance of tropical fruit is layered with sweet honey and warm, elegantly integrated Islay peat smoke.

Finish: Warming and lingering, with rich tropical fruit gradually fading alongside gentle smoke and mature oak.
