Cadenhead Tamdhu-Glenlivet 12 Year Old

Cadenhead’s Tamdhu-Glenlivet 12 Year Old is a 2026 release from the independent bottler’s Original Collection. Distilled in 2013, the whisky matured for 12 years in refill Oloroso sherry hogsheads before being bottled in May 2026 at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Dulce de leche and soft caramel lead into raspberry sorbet and baked pear, combining creamy sweetness with ripe Speyside fruit.

Palate: Blueberry and crystallized ginger are joined by an unusual rye-bread-like cereal character. It's fruitier and more savoury than a stereotypically rich sherry bomb, with the ginger adding a lively thread of spice.

Finish: Mandarin and creamy vanilla linger alongside a fresh touch of lemongrass, giving the whisky a brighter and cleaner finish than its Oloroso maturation might initially suggest.
