Campbeltown Blended Malt 2015 – Roger’s Whisky Company

The Roger’s Whisky Company Hidden Treasures Campbeltown 6 years old 2015 is a Campbeltown blended malt from an undisclosed distillery bottled by the Dutch independent bottler Roger’s Whisky Company. This Campbeltowner was distilled in 2015 and matured in cask 31. It was bottled on the 20th of July 2021 at natural cask strength of 54% ABV, non chill filtered and with no added colour, as a limited single cask release of 364 bottles. The artwork is from Andrew (@Whiskyhobo) and is inspired by the ancient civilization and buildings of the Mayas. Nose: initally fresh, a bit grassy, orange zest with maple syrup waffles. This one really appreciates some time in the glass and changes, bringing very interesting new flavours. Fantastic chocolately sweetness, nutella!, milk chocolate and hazelnut. After 30 minutes in the glass: literally an explosion of nutella, almost unbelievable! Palate: super smooth and rounded, superbly integrated. Just a touch peppery, as how I like my whisky. Orange peel, tangerine juice coming into the mix. And that chocolaty vibe again. Finish: dark chocolate, cacoa nibs, tangerine juice, and very long for a young whisky like this.
