Caol Ila 2007 13 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice

A 2007 Caol Ila single malt from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, matured in refill sherry butt and bottled in February 2021, at 13-years-old, as part of its Connoisseurs Choice series.Cured meat aromas are balanced by ripe green apples and cocoa powder. Fruitcake notes develop with hazelnuts and autumnal spice. Stewed fruit and honeycomb give way to rich cinnamon. Cracked black pepper comes to the fore alongside malted biscuit and sweet smoke. A full finish with dark chocolate, toasted oak and bonfire embers.
