Chateau Montifaud Vintage 2001 Helios Cognac

Another in Chateau de Montifaud’s superb range ofCognacs, this time the “Helios” edition. Helios is the personification of the sun, and the name likely refers to this Cognac’s golden appearance and round bottle shape. This vintage has a beautiful straw yellow colour, a nice balance and a beautiful structure. On the nose, we find aromas of yellow fruit, plum and mirabelle plum. There are also notes of lime blossom. On the palate, this cognac expresses itself with an extreme sweetness, a beautiful amplitude, and a great finesse. Its aromatic palette evolves towards fruits in brandy.
