Compass Box Flaming Heart 2018 (1.5 Litre)

Always one of the most popular Compass Box releases, this marks the 6th iteration of Flaming Heart which began in 2006. Composed of 100% single malt whiskies there are officially 5 components with the majority comprised of 19yr and 15yr Caol Ila and Deanston malts aged in refill hogsheads with a small but impactful bit of 23yr Clyenlish also from a refill hogshead mixed in. The whisky is broad, expansive with plenty of smoke with the coastal elements edging out the sweetness and spice that play an important supporting role. As usual this whisky delivers big league flavors.
