Conundrum Red

Conundrum was created by the Wagner family of Caymus Vineyards with a focus on crafting unconventional blends that highlight harmony and drinkability rather than a single varietal expression. Known for innovative blending and a fruit-forward style, Conundrum has become recognized for wines that are accessible, expressive, and distinctly Californian.

Conundrum Red is sourced from select vineyard sites across California, where warm days and diverse growing conditions allow multiple grape varieties to achieve full ripeness and concentrated flavour development. The blend may incorporate varieties such as Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and other complementary grapes depending on the vintage, each contributing different layers of fruit, spice, structure, and texture.

Fermentation and aging are carefully managed to create a supple mouthfeel and integrated character. Oak maturation contributes notes of vanilla, cocoa, and baking spice while preserving the wine’s ripe fruit profile and approachable style.

The result is a smooth, richly textured red blend designed for immediate enjoyment.
