Every autumn, Diageo releases a Distillers Edition of its Classic Malts. Here is the Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition 2022. The single malt first matured in refill casks made of American and European oak. This was followed by a second aging process in used Oloroso and post-charred American oak casks with heavily post-charred new AO ends. Connoisseurs appreciate how the sherry perfectly frames the typical heather and honey notes of the distillery. The Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition 2022 is 43.0% vol. bottled. Aroma : fruity notes of banana and pineapple meet fresh sherry. In addition honey, walnuts and wood spice. Taste : Soft and round on the tongue. First sweet grapes and peaches, then spicy oak, vanilla and spices. Finish : Long-lasting, with lots of oak, vanilla and white pepper. Slightly dry.
