Domaine Jean Bousquet Malbec

Domaine Jean Bousquet is a family-owned winery located in Tupungato in the Uco Valley, one of Mendoza’s premier high-altitude regions. Founded by the Bousquet family from France, the estate is certified organic and focuses on sustainable viticulture and minimal intervention winemaking.
Vineyards are situated at elevations of around 1,200 metres, where intense sunlight and cool nighttime temperatures allow for full ripening while preserving acidity. The Malbec is typically fermented in stainless steel to maintain fruit purity, with a portion aged in oak (depending on the cuvée) to add structure and subtle complexity. The style emphasizes clean, expressive fruit with a more restrained and fresh profile compared to heavier Malbecs.

Palate: Medium-bodied with smooth tannins and bright acidity; flavours of dark fruit, subtle spice, and a touch of earth
Finish: Clean and balanced, with lingering fruit and gentle spice

Best enjoyed within 3–6 years of vintage for optimal freshness and balance.
Pairs well with grilled meats, steak, and barbecue, as well as roasted vegetables and hearty dishes. Also complements empanadas, pasta, and semi-firm cheeses.
