Dr. Loosen Riesling Dry

Regarded as one of Germany’s most renowned Riesling producers, based in the Mosel region, where steep slate vineyards and a cool climate create ideal conditions for producing wines with intensity and finesse.
While the Mosel is often associated with off-dry styles, Dr. Loosen also produces dry (Trocken) Rieslings that emphasize structure and minerality. Grapes are sourced from steep, slate-rich vineyards, where the soils retain heat and contribute to the wine’s distinctive mineral character.
Fermentation is typically carried out in stainless steel or large neutral vessels, allowing for slow, controlled fermentation that preserves aromatics and clarity. The focus is on expressing terroir with minimal intervention.

Colour: Pale straw with green reflections
Nose: Aromas of lime, green apple, and citrus zest, with notes of white peach and slate minerality
Palate: Light- to medium-bodied, with high acidity and flavours of lemon, apple, and stone fruit, supported by a pronounced mineral backbone
Finish: Clean and precise, with lingering citrus, minerality, and a dry, refreshing finish
