Ferrari Carano Fume Blanc

Ferrari-Carano was founded in 1981 in Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley and has earned an international reputation for producing premium wines that express the diversity of the region's vineyards. The winery is particularly celebrated for its Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and its iconic Fumé Blanc, one of California's pioneering barrel-aged Sauvignon Blancs.

The Fumé Blanc is crafted primarily from Sauvignon Blanc, with a small portion of Sémillon added in many vintages to enhance texture and complexity. Fruit is sourced from estate vineyards in Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and Russian River Valley, where warm days and cool evenings allow the grapes to develop intense flavours while preserving vibrant natural acidity.

Colour: Brilliant pale straw with golden reflections

Nose: Aromas of grapefruit, Meyer lemon, pineapple, and guava layered with notes of white peach, lemongrass, vanilla, and subtle toasted oak

Palate: Medium-bodied and beautifully textured, with flavours of citrus, tropical fruit, melon, and ripe pear supported by crisp acidity. Gentle oak ageing adds hints of crème brûlée, baking spice, and a creamy mid-palate while preserving freshness

Finish: Long, vibrant, and refreshing, with lingering citrus, tropical fruit, subtle vanilla, and elegant minerality
