G&M Spirit of Scotland Glendullan 2013 Cask #307104

Glendullan was established in Dufftown in 1897 by William Williams & Sons, becoming the town’s seventh distillery. By 1902, its whisky was reportedly being supplied to the court of King Edward VII. A second, substantially larger distillery was constructed beside the original operation in 1972, with the two working simultaneously until the older plant was closed in 1985.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh green apple, ripe pear and lemon peel lead into vanilla, light honey and soft malt. Biscuit-like cereal character follows, with delicate florals, ginger and white pepper adding complexity.

Palate: Lively citrus and orchard fruit meet sweet malt, creamy vanilla and light toffee. Fresh cereal notes keep the whisky bright before lemon zest, gentle spice and a subtle nuttiness emerge through the higher strength.

Finish: Medium to long and gently drying, leaving vanilla, lemon oil and malt alongside peppery warmth and a fresh bittersweet citrus note.
