Glenfarclas 1999 (Cask 5212) – Family Cask Summer 2022 Release

The family-run distillery released this Glenfarclas Single Cask Whisky from 1999 in the summer of 2022 for their Family Casks series. The single malt whisky spent its cask aging from 1999 to 2022 in Sherry Butt 5212. The distillery bottled the Scotch at cask strength at 55.3 percent by volume. As a natural Scotch, it also comes without coloring and chill filtration. 585 bottles are available worldwide. Nose: The single cask whisky indulges the nose with notes of sherry. It smells of cherries and sweet honey. Oak provides a light spice with pepper. Tasting : The Glenfarclas Family Casks 1999 Cask 5212 is creamy and fruity on the tongue. It tastes of sherry and dried fruit. Plums come through. Nuts and chocolate initiate the finish. Finish: The finish is long-lasting. The Scotch says goodbye with plums and nuts. Slight sharpness and spicy oak persistence.
