Glenfarclas 2003 (cask 1970) – Family Cask Summer 2022 Release

The family-run distillery released this Glenfarclas Single Cask Whisky from 2003 in the summer of 2022 for their Family Casks series. The single malt whisky spent its cask maturity from 2003 to 2022 in the 4th fill butt #1970. The distillery bottled the Scotch at cask strength at 55.9% by volume. As a natural Scotch, it also comes without coloring and chill filtration. There are just 593 bottles available worldwide. Nose: The whisky flatters the nose with fruity impressions. He brings oranges and apples. Vanilla and malt penetrate sweetly. A touch of spice completes the aroma. Tasting: The Glenfarclas Family Casks 2003 Cask #1970 is spicy and fruity on the tongue. It tastes of oranges and plums. Nuts and ginger initiate the finish. Finish: The finish is medium length. The Scotch says goodbye with spicy oak.
