Glenfarclas Family Cask 1988 Summer 22

The family-run distillery released this Glenfarclas Single Cask Whiskey from 1988 in the summer of 2022 for their Family Casks series. The single malt whiskey spent its cask maturity from 1988 to 2022 in refill Sherry Butt 6862. The distillery bottled the Scotch at cask strength at 49.5% by volume. As a natural Scotch, it also comes without coloring and chill filtration. Nosing: The nose is caressed by the fruity and aromatic notes of the whiskey. The scent of blackberries and dried fruits emerges, followed by chocolate, honey and a spicy woody note. Tasting: The Glenfarclas Family Casks 1988 has a taste of berries, especially raspberries, blackberries and wild berries. It also reveals nuances of nuts, chocolate and vanilla for a sweet touch. The taste of coffee is also present and the finish is accompanied by spices supported by the presence of oak. Finish: The Glenfarclas Family Casks 1988 has a long and lingering finish, with hints of wild berries, sherry and notes of cocoa that linger long after drinking.
