Glenfarclas Family Cask 2008 S24

Produced at Glenfarclas Distillery in Ballindalloch, Speyside, this 2008 vintage Family Cask was distilled in 2008 and bottled in the Summer 2024 release as Cask #2112. Matured for approximately 16 years in a 4th-fill plain butt, the whisky benefited from a cask that imparted subtle oak influence while allowing the distillery's fruit-forward and malty spirit character to remain at the forefront.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh and expressive with aromas of green apple, pear, vanilla, malted barley, citrus zest, honey, marzipan, caramel, and subtle baking spice.

Palate: Full-bodied and powerful with layers of ripe orchard fruit, vanilla cream, honeyed malt, marzipan, liquorice, coffee, oak spice, cocoa, and gentle dried fruit notes. Despite the high strength, the whisky remains remarkably balanced and approachable.

Finish: Long, warming, and elegant with lingering notes of caramel, coffee, chocolate, marzipan, oak spice, and subtle dried fruit sweetness
