Gray Monk Rosé

Gray Monk Estate Winery, established in 1972, is one of British Columbia’s pioneering wineries and a key contributor to the development of the Okanagan Valley wine industry. Located near Okanagan Lake, the estate benefits from moderating lake influences that help retain acidity and freshness in the fruit.

The Rosé is typically crafted from red grape varieties such as Merlot, Pinot Noir, or others depending on the vintage. Grapes are harvested early to preserve acidity and freshness. The wine is made using direct pressing or short skin contact to achieve its pale colour and light structure.

Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to maintain aromatic purity and a clean, crisp profile, with minimal intervention to highlight the fruit.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale pink with salmon hues
Nose: Aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and red currant, with hints of citrus and floral notes
Palate: Light-bodied and crisp, with flavours of red berries, watermelon, and a touch of citrus, supported by refreshing acidity
Finish: Clean and lively, with lingering fruit and a subtle mineral note

Cellaring & Pairings
Best enjoyed young within 1–2 years of vintage to preserve its freshness and vibrancy.
Pairs well with salads, seafood, grilled vegetables, and light poultry dishes. Also complements charcuterie, soft cheeses, and Mediterranean-style cuisine.
