Gray Monk Unwooded Chardonnay

Gray Monk Estate Winery, established in 1972, is one of British Columbia’s pioneering wineries and a key contributor to the development of the Okanagan Valley wine industry. Located near Okanagan Lake, the estate benefits from moderating lake influences that support balanced ripening.

This unwooded Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards across the Okanagan, where warm days and cool nights allow for full flavour development while preserving natural acidity. As an unoaked style, fermentation and ageing take place entirely in stainless steel, with no oak influence. This approach highlights the natural fruit character of the grape and results in a fresher, more linear profile.

Colour: Pale straw with green reflections
Nose: Aromas of apple, pear, and citrus, with hints of melon and subtle floral notes
Palate: Light- to medium-bodied, with crisp acidity and flavours of orchard fruit, lemon, and light stone fruit
Finish: Clean and refreshing, with lingering citrus and a bright, dry finish

Best enjoyed within 2–3 years of vintage to preserve its freshness and vibrancy.
