Holyrood Arrival Single Malt Whisky

This is the inaugural release of single malt whisky from Edinburghs Holyrood distillery. Made using two strains of yeast and fermented for up to 100 hours, this whisky was then matured in a combination of oloroso butts, Pedro Ximenez hogsheads, bourbon barrels and rum barriques, creating a complex and well-balanced character. Aromas of dried fruit, mangoes, raisins and butterscotch mingle with freshly-baked cake, toffee, leather and biscuits on the nose. The palate brings notes of caramel, vanilla, ginger spice, digestive biscuits, tablet and raisins, building to notes of apple pie and sweet spices that linger in the finish.
