The Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts was shaded by the Les Suchots in this occasion, more foursquare and less terroir-driven at the moment, though developing attractive woodland and sous-bois aromas with time in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe black cherry and boysenberry fruit, a fine bead of acidity and commendable precision on the finish.
