Spanish sherry oak cask / Cask No. 422 Number of bottles: 288 New Born No. 1 is a Japanese single malt whisky made from imported British Two-Row Malt, carefully sweetened, fermented and distilled with a century of traditional craftmanship. Only 60% of the original spirit is extracted and matured for one year in a carefully selected fresh Spanish sherry cask. Color: Russet Nose: Toffee aroma with dark fruit notes such as raisins, plums, and vanilla. Pleasant wood aroma from the Spanish sherry cask. Palate: Sweet and balanced with a layered spicy taste. Strong sweetness from the dark fruits with notes of oak wood. Finish: Dark fruit taste with a hint of wood lingers on the palate.
