Kavalan Distillery, founded in Yilan County, Taiwan, has become one of the most influential names in contemporary whisky production since its establishment in 2005. Named after the indigenous Kavalan people, the distillery benefits from Taiwan’s humid subtropical climate and exceptionally pure mountain water sourced from Snow Mountain.

The warm climate accelerates maturation, allowing Kavalan whiskies to develop remarkable depth, texture, and oak integration in a comparatively shorter aging period. This rapid interaction between spirit and cask contributes to the whisky’s signature richness and intense aromatic profile.
